A Newfoundlander living in China says things are slowly getting back to normal in that country following the recent COVID-19 outbreak.
Chris Walsh, who lives in Xi’an says while things are not exactly as they were before the outbreak, the general mood is lighter, and more and more people are heading back to work.
Walsh says people are still wearing masks and checks are regularly being carried out for temperature and possible travel outside the city and country.
Higher-risk operations, like movie theatres, still haven’t reopened and while schools have reopened for higher grade level students, Walsh says elementary age students have not yet returned to class.
