Two months into the arrival of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador and the province is marking two full weeks with no new cases.
However, it’ll be another two weeks—if all goes well—before the province lifts more COVID restrictions in Alert Level 3.

Public Health officials are continuing to ask for patience from the public with a slow and cautious resumption of daily routines.
Premier Dwight Ball understands why many want to see things open up quicker. He says to reopen businesses and recreational activities with no planning would be irresponsible.

Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald meanwhile advises the use of non-medical masks when you do venture out.
Especially in situations where a safe physical distance cannot be maintained.
With 253 of the province’s 260 confirmed cases recovered, there are only four active cases left in the province. Three people have died.
