A 62-year-old Avondale man has been arrested following reports that someone shot a cat on a residential property.
RCMP say the cat was injured on May 16, and the man was arrested on one count of animal cruelty.
The cat was taken to a vet but had to be euthanized because of the extent of its injuries.
The accused has been released to appear in court September 16.
