The MHA for Harbour Grace-Port de Grave says some long-needed road repair work is coming to Harvey Street in Harbour Grace.
The main thoroughfare has been in rough shape for some time.
Maintenance of the road became the town’s responsibility in the early 2000s when the Veteran’s Memorial opened to traffic.
MHA Pam Parsons says the town has received $1.3 million, from provincial and federal grants, for water and sewer upgrades as part of ongoing rehabilitation work on Harvey Street.
Once that work is complete, the provincial government is responsible for paving.
