A bone of contention among some business operators is being addressed today with the resumption of pet grooming services in the province.
There was a great hue and cry among groomers after learning that doggie daycares could reopen in Alert Level 4, but their businesses had to wait another 28 days.
That changed on Friday when Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald announced that pet grooming would be permitted to resume operations starting today with certain restrictions in place.
They include protocols surrounding the use of PPE, cleaning, and disinfection, and social distancing.
Why the sudden change? Dr. Fitzgerald says Public Health officials are continually reviewing public health measures given the latest COVID-19 numbers, consultation, and analysis.
