The NDP is calling on the Liberal government to diversify the economy.

NDP leader Alison Coffin says this is a time for the province to transition from oil dependence.

She says the Auditor General has been warning about the need to diversify the economy and to reduce the province’s vulnerability to factors beyond control.

Coffin says that the province has “too many eggs in the basket.”
