A 16-year-old boy in Corner Brook is facing mischief charges after he was caught setting a fire.
Corner Brook RNC responded to a report of a fire in the Crestview Area around 9:00 p.m. yesterday.
It was reported that a man had lit a fire in close proximity to an apartment building while winds were extremely high at the time.
Home owners in the area extinguished the fire before police, and the Corner Brook Fire Department arrived on the scene.
As a result, the 16-year-old Corner Brook resident was charged with one count of mischief. He was released to appear in Youth Court at a later date.
