Three years ago today, Cortney Lake climbed into a pickup truck in Mount Pearl and was never seen or heard from again.

Lake’s family has held vigils in her memory since her disappearance and murder but will be doing things differently this year because of the pandemic.

A virtual vigil will be held through a Facebook live event on the Help Us Find Cortney page at 8:30 this evening.

Lake’s aunt, Donna Walsh, says the family will never give up hope that she will be brought home.

She says the family prays that someday her remains will be returned to them for proper burial.
