It’s hoped one St. Lawrence family might finally get the closure they’ve been waiting for over the last two weeks.
Kerri Lynn Kettle is nearly certain the body found at the bottom of Placentia Bay on Saturday is that of her husband, Isaac Kettle. She calls it the “best worst news you could ever get.”
Kettle was one of four men on board the Sarah Anne that appears to have suddenly run into trouble late last month.

The bodies of three of the men were recovered in a massive search effort, but Kettle’s remains were not immediately located.
The body found by lobster fishermen on the beach at Doughboy Cove—across from the Come by Chance oil refinery—was recovered and transported to St. John’s for positive identification.
Kerri Lynn Kettle says one of the fishermen described a tattoo that she says matches that of her husband. She says they contacted the fisherman and they are fairly certain that Isaac’s body has finally been located.
Kettle had given up hope, but is relieved the uncertainty might finally be over.
In 1995, Kerri Lynn lost her uncle when the Jessie Marie went down, claiming the lives of three St. Lawrence men. His body was never found.
Kettle says she’s been in contact with RCMP, and positive identification has not yet been made.
