A venerable, and beloved Newfoundland citizen is reported to be making progress after suffering a stroke in recent weeks.
Jane Crosbie, the mother of Opposition leader Ches Crosbie and the widow of the late John Crosbie, experienced complications as the result of surgery to address a heart valve issue.
John Crosbie passed away in January, just shy of his 89th birthday.
Crosbie’s son, Ches, says his mother is at the Miller Centre and is recovering.
He describes her as a fighter and welcomes the well-wishes his family has received.
