A 20-year-old man is in custody and facing a long list of charges following reports of a dangerous altercation in the west end of St. John’s.

Around 10:30 last night, police received a report that there were men fighting in the street and that they had firearms.

The RNC responded and arrested a 20-year-old man.

He is facing a raft of charges, including breaching a firearm prohibition order, use of an imitation firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, assault, uttering threats, and three breaches of recognizance.

No significant injuries were reported. The man will appear in court today.
