Opposition leader Ches Crosbie is calling for the mandatory testing of all foreign travelers arriving in the province as well as rotational workers as the education system prepares for the return to school.
Crosbie was responding to a new confirmed case of COVID-19, identified in a young woman returning to the province following a trip to Asia.
The young woman was not symptomatic while on her way back to the province and has been in self-isolation since her arrival.
Crosbie is reiterating his call for the mandatory testing of people working on rotation and for people returning from international travel to help keep families, students and staff safe as schools reopen early next month.
He says that’s all the more reason to have testing for rotational workers as many of them have children in the education system.
