Twenty Eastern Health employees are in self-isolation after they came in close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
However, it is not considered a confirmed case due to public health evidence.
The person, an Eastern Health patient, was asymptomatic and had the virus in the past but recovered.
According to the department of health, the presence of the virus could produce a positive test result in people who have recovered but will no longer spread the virus.
Government says that all close contacts will be tested out of an abundance of caution.
Therefore, there are no new cases of COVID-19 being reported in Newfoundland and Labrador.
There is one active case, which was reported on Friday.
