Less than a day after turning himself in, Philip Pynn has been released from custody again.
Police issued a warrant for Pynn’s arrest last Friday after a theft from Bogarts Jewellers on Aberdeen Avenue.
In court this afternoon, Judge James Walsh freed him on more conditions, including a promise to pay $2,000 if he fails to comply. A female friend has also put up $1,000 as a surety in support of Pynn’s release.
It’s the second time a warrant has been issued for his arrest since he returned to the province in December. In March he was charged with breaching conditions of his release from prison after being convicted of manslaughter.
It’s also the second time he’s turned himself in and been released the next day.
Pynn is well known to police and the public for criminal activity in the province, having spent most of his adult life in jail.
