Emergency crews were called to the Dollarama on Ropewalk Lane early this afternoon after a car smashed through the front window of the store.

Crews arrived to see half of the car inside the store, with shattered glass all around. Remarkably, the St. John’s Regional Fire Department says no physical injuries were reported, but some staff and witnesses were being attended to for shock.

The store is closed for the time being.

The cause of the mishap is under investigation.
