The St. John’s Regional Fire Department made quick work of a fire at a recycling facility in the capital city’s east end earlier this afternoon.
Huge plumes of thick black smoke could be seen coming from AIM Recycling on East White Hills Road over the lunch hour.
Crews were able to get the blaze under control shortly after. There is no word on any injuries.
