NDP Leader Alison Coffin sees a silver lining in the fact that the provincial election has been delayed beyond February.
Coffin says it means the public should be privy to what’s in Moya Greene’s preliminary report on the province’s economy before election day, which will be in March but has yet to be set.
Greene’s interim report is due February 28.
She says the timing presents an opportunity to see the direction of Greene’s recommendations before the vote count takes place.
It’s not clear how much the report would influence the outcome of the election, however, since the remaining ballots have to be mailed in by March 5 under the current Alert Level 5.
