Vaccination against COVID-19 will soon be mandatory in all federally regulated workplaces.

Minister of Labour Seamus O’Regan made the announcement today.

Mandatory vaccination requirement are already in place for the public sector, and those working in federally regulated air, rail and marine transportation sectors as well as travelers on those modes of transportation.

The new regulations are meant to ensure that employees in all other federally regulated industries, such as road transportation, telecommunications and banking are also vaccinated.

The new requirements come into effect early in the new year.
