The official opposition is looking for clarification from the Premier on his stance on the Bay du Nord project, all while the province anxiously awaits he final decision from the federal government.
A decision is due form the federal environment minister by Sunday.
Opposition Critic Lloyd Parrott references comments made by the Premier about the role this province can play in the international oil scene in the wake of Russia’s war with Ukraine. He welcomes Furey’s support for the oil industry, but questions if it is too little too late.

Parrott wants Furey to outline what he has done to advocate for the project.
Further, he notes that two advisors to the Premier recently signed a letter written by the Sierra Club calling on the Federal government to reject the project.
Parrott wants to know if Furey agrees with those advisors.
