Patients who feel they have a serious or urgent medical problem should proceed to the nearest open emergency department in Carbonear, Placentia or St. John’s. Those who require an ambulance should call 911.
Meanwhile, similar staffing issues mean ER services at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders are going virtual from 8 a.m. today until 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
A health care provider will be available on-site to assist with virtual care. Area residents who require emergency services during that time are asked to call 911 or proceed to the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre.
