Building an innovative fishery of the future is the topic of discussion as NATI hosts an Innovation Day event today on Signal Hill.
Today is the 27th anniversary of the Cod Moratorium, an event that brought 500 years of Newfoundland’s economic and cultural dependence on cod to an end.
Participants in today’s event will hear from experts in the fishing industry including harvesters and processors, as well as those in the fields of technology and academia in a panel discussion.
Panelists include President of Icewater Seafoods Alberto Wareham, Jim Locke of Navism Technology, Kelly Moret of the Marine Institute and Carey Bonnell of OCI.
