The premier’s next order of business following last week’s election is selecting a cabinet, but there are two official election counts yet to be completed before MHAs go back to the Legislature.
The earliest date on which MHAs can be sworn-in is June 5th.
Premier Dwight Ball says the two outstanding districts are both in Labrador.
Cartwright-L’Anse au Clair and Torngat Mountains are both being held up by weather. He says once those official counts are complete, 12 days have to pass with no challenges or recounts before MHAs can return to the House of Assembly.
The Premier says in the meantime, all tenders and the routine business of government continues.
