It’s going to be a messy few days across the island.
According to PAL Airlines and Aerospace Meteorologist Brian Walsh, the island will be battered with back-to-back systems, bringing with it a mix of rain, ice, and significant snowfall for central.
The first system will hit us tonight and into Wednesday, the second will come for Wednesday into Thursday.
Rain and freezing rain will be the story for the Avalon. The west coast will also be hit hard with the freezing rain, but will also see snow accumulations of up to 10 cm.
However, the hardest hit area will be central Newfoundland, where snowfall accumulations between the two systems could reach up to 40 cm by Friday morning.
