Chef and restaurateur Todd Perrin says it’ll be some time yet before his business plans for the old Flake House Restaurant property come to fruition.

The Flake House closed decades ago, and the old restaurant building was finally torn down in late 2016.

Perrin and his business partner Stephen Lee are hoping to develop a new restaurant on the site, one he says will reflect the history of the region, but they ran into a set back when it was discovered that the wharf needed significant work.

Perrin says that work is still underway.

He says there are still discussions underway as to what type of building will go up at the site, but the wharf work should be completed sometime this summer.
