The Grand Falls-Windsor Mountain Bike Club has submitted an environmental assessment for an 11 km mountain bike trail about 5 km west of the town.
The trail would accommodate non-motorized use only and will consist of a single track with a tread-width of 18 inches. As well, it would incorporate natural features and construction will require minimal vegetation clearing according to the proponent.
The environmental assessment is currently under review. Once all approvals are attained, the planning process can begin to turn the proposal into a reality.
