Harbour Grace RCMP say missing 31-year-old Adam James Mercer is now in custody.

Mercer was at large since August 20th after fleeing police when they tried to arrest him on a warrant related to offences of mischief and failure to comply with a recognizance involving a charge of assault with a weapon.

By last Friday, there were three warrants out for his arrest for offences of assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, mischief, animal cruelty and failure to comply.

The RCMP are thanking the many members of the public who provided tips.
