RCMP expect to lay charges against the parents of a 14-year-old found driving an ATV late at night with no headlights.
A police officer noticed the ATV driving fast on the Conception Bay Highway at 10:00 Wednesday night.
The radar showed the ATV was driving over 75 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. Both the driver and passenger were 14.
The vehicle was impounded and parents were called to the scene.
RCMP say the investigation is continuing and charged are expected against the parents of the ATV operator.
Anyone under the age of 16 is prohibited from operating a full-size ATV and a parent or guardian who allows underage operation of an ATV can be charged.
