Mount Pearl and Portugal Cove-St. Phillips:

Paradise:
- State of emergency lifted until midnight.

The state of emergency remains in effect today across the city of St. John’s, while other municipalities are temporarily lifting their restrictions.
The city of Mount Pearl, and the towns of Paradise and Portugal Cove-St. Phillips have all lifted their states of emergency for the day.
In Mount Pearl and Portugal Cove the restrictions will come back into effect at 9 p.m. tonight. In Paradise the restrictions will be back in place at midnight.
While the capital city’s state of emergency remains in full effect today, they will be providing an update sometime after lunch on the situation.
There are some overarching cancellations to tell you about, however. All municipal and provincial government offices and facilities in the area are closed today, and garbage collection is postponed.
As well, all Avalon region schools are closed for the day, as are the campuses of MUN and College of the North Atlantic.
In regions where the state of emergency has been temporarily lifted, businesses are allowed to open.
