A woman in Conne River has been charged after ditching her vehicle in attempts to give police the slip.
Officers on patrol Sunday evening spotted the known suspended driver behind the wheel of an SUV.
Police flicked the lights, however the woman decided to take off at a high rate of speed.
After patrolling the area for a while, RCMP spotted the vehicle abandoned along a high-voltage transmission line.
The 41-year-old was located at a nearby property and arrested without incident.
She has been released to appear in court in September on a charge of flight from police. She has also been issued several tickets.
