Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the driveway.
A messy weather system is moving into the province Thursday night and it’s staying a while according to Environment Canada’s Wanda Batten.
She says over the Avalon, snow will develop Thursday night, resulting in a messy Friday commute.
It’s a slow-moving system and could accumulate up to 25 cm in western and central but only 15 cm on the Burin and Avalon.
Batten says then things should warm up, but the precipitation is continuing.
She says the big concern is the freezing rain and ice pellets which should take over Friday night, but it should be over to rain by Saturday morning.
