Claire McCarthy has been named the 2020 Easter Seals Ambassador for Newfoundland and Labrador.

For the next year, McCarthy will be the face and voice of people with disabilities throughout the province, while representing Easter Seals NL at numerous events.

Both McCarthy and outgoing ambassador, Cassandra McGrath, were recognized by Lieutenant Governor Judy Foote at the launch of Easter Seals month. McGrath also received the Fraser Edison Easter Seals Ambassador Trust—a $2,000 educational scholarship.

Easter Seals NL says not only will she gain experience in public and media relations, McCarthy will benefit from a scholarship for her future education.
