Over a third of the provincial contingency fund of $200-million has been spoken for, says the Premier.
The fund is aimed at helping the business sector deal with the challenges faced during the pandemic, as well as boosting jobs in the province.
Premier Dwight Ball says about $74-million of the $200-million has already been claimed.
Ball says there will be more but government is prioritizing the money to those areas that need it most—like the tourism industry.
The tourism sector received $25-million in funding while $30-million was allocated for the renovation rebate program.
