Hydroplaning was the cause of two separate collisions in the Whitbourne area this afternoon.
Whitbourne RCMP is advising drivers of standing water on the Trans Canada Highway in the area.
Police say both accidents involved vehicles leaving the highway. They are cautioning drivers and asking them to reduce their speeds while driving.
Whitborne Fire Department responded to the collisions.
Four people were taken to hospital after the first one. Injuries are unknown at this time.
Whitbourne Fire Chief Jamie Budden says driving conditions in the area are poor and fog is leading to reduced visibility.
