A woman from Harbour Breton is “Set for Life” after she scratched a lottery ticket in late March.
Doris Baker says she usually scratches half and leaves the other half for her husband but it was late at night and she wanted to get it over with.
Baker opted for the lump-sum payment of $675,000 rather than the $1,000 a week for 25 years for her win on the Atlantic Lottery’s Set for Life Scratch’ N Win ticket.
She says their family has already picked out a new truck and they plan to bring two of their children home to Newfoundland for a family celebration.
