A 46-year-old man is dead after hitting a moose while on his motorcycle last night on the Veterans Memorial Highway.
Bay Roberts RCMP say they were called to the scene around 10:45 p.m. to reports of a collision in the southbound lane.
The driver of the motorcycle, who was from Carbonear, was dead when police arrived.
Police have not released any further information surrounding the circumstances of the crash.
