Police in Corner Brook are reminding people to be aware of scams following an incident Friday afternoon.

At 4:30 p.m., RNC received reports of a scam through an automated phone call, set up to sound like the CRA. The automation asked people for money.

There was no financial transaction completed in the matter, but police are warning the public that the scam could be circulated.

They are asking the public to report this type of scam to their nearest police agency.
