It’s been an unusually busy week for RCMP in Stephenville.
The detachment responded to over 100 calls in just a single week ranging from reports of assault, intimate partner violence, break and enter, vehicle fires, drug trafficking, animal cruelty and even a lightning strike.
RCMP say they are continuing to see high volumes of calls related violations of the Highway Traffic Act including registration, insurance and drivers licence renewals.
