The East Coast Music Awards will officially be handed out this weekend after the annual awards week in St. John’s in April was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.
The association, which supports east coast musicians, will host a televised, pre-recorded celebration featuring performances, award announcements, and a special tribute to Ron Hynes tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m. on CBC TV.
This afternoon, at 3:30 Newfoundland time, there will be a pre-show through a Facebook live stream to announce the majority of the awards.
There are 38 nominees from Newfoundland and Labrador, including VOCM’s Greg Smith who is up for Media Person of the Year.
