It looks like the weather on the eastern portion of the island will soon begin to rebound from the cold and rain of the last couple of days.
The rain has been persistent, and the temperatures have only gotten into the low double digits for most ever since they dropped off on Tuesday.
Environment Canada Meteorologist, Samantha Roache, says the rain will let up today, but things will get cold tonight in the central, northeastern and eastern parts of the island. Frost advisories have been issued and temperatures will be around the freezing mark.
She continues that it’s north-easterly winds which are making things chilly right now, but as the winds switch to south-westerly over the weekend things will gradually improve. Temperatures should be back in the mid 20s for next week.
