The Town of Clarenville is disappointed after a dugout at one of their softball fields was vandalized over the weekend.

Recreation Manager Brandon Reardon says it happened sometime late Saturday evening or Sunday.

He says the damaged dugout needed to be fixed and it kept staff from doing other tasks.

According to Reardon, there were about 15 or 16 brick blocks pushed out of the wall of the dugout. He says Clarenville does not get a lot of vandalism but when they do it is very disappointing.

The town has since fixed the damage but it did cost them for supplies and labour.
