RCMP have a person in custody, and say there is no longer any threat to the public following an incident in Appleton this morning.
There are no known injuries stemming from the incident.
People in Appleton were advised to stay inside their homes all morning, however that restriction has now been lifted.
A police presence remains in the town, and residents are advised to respect the perimeter established by the RCMP.
Gander RCMP say they will have more information on the incident tomorrow.
