Many seasonal homeowners continue to be frustrated with not being able to enter the province.
Dr. Janice Fitzgerald says their decision has not changed on the topic as they are still making decisions based on other jurisdiction’s experiences and public health capacity.
She says the risk in Newfoundland and Labrador is with importation.
Fitzgerald explains that they know symptoms may not always be visible and sometimes people aren’t strict with their isolation, which leads to outbreaks in some cases. She says they need to be vigilant.
