Two drivers in metro will have to answer to the courts after police caught them behind the wheel while impaired by alcohol.
The first incident happened just before 2 p.m. Police were informed of a possible impaired driver in the west end of St. John’s. Officers pulled over the driver, who was found to have a high blood-alcohol level.
Then, around 7:30, a 52-year-old man in the area of Seal Cove failed the breathalyzer, and was also charged for driving while suspended.
Both men were released with court dates and their vehicles were seized.
