Three people are dead following separate incidents in the province over a three-day period.

A 54-year-old Durrell’s Arm woman died Friday when the vehicle in which she was a passenger left the Gander Bay Road after swerving to avoid an oncoming vehicle that had pulled out to pass.

A 62-year-old man from Newville, on New World Island, died when the vehicle he was driving left the road near Virgin Arm on Sunday. Police say the man’s vehicle had swerved off the road and struck a rock cliff in the ditch. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

And a 25-year-old Corner Brook woman was killed when the side-by-side ATV she was driving crashed on Bear Cove Cabin Road near Westport Sunday afternoon, her 25-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.
