The Chief Medical Officer of Health has announced what she calls another step towards normalcy by lifting more public health restrictions in the province.
Dr. Janice Fitzgerald says effective August 24, recognized groups can organize indoor gatherings of up to 100 people—as long as they don’t exceed 50 per cent capacity.
Personal gatherings are also allowed, but with certain restrictions.
Fitzgerald says this includes outdoor gatherings. Indoor gatherings can only hold 50 per cent of the buildings capacity.
She says exceptions to the special order on masks, visit the government website. @VOCMNEWS

Gatherings not organized by a recognized business or organization—such as a backyard family event—still have a maximum of 50 people as long as physical distancing is maintained with others outside your bubble.
Organizers of gatherings are required to keep a record of all those in attendance for two weeks following the event.
There were no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 again today. There are two active cases in the province.
