The expense and physical distance involved in leaving the province is affecting the number of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians traveling within the Atlantic Bubble.
A new Narrative Research survey shows that just seven per cent of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians asked report having traveled within the Atlantic region.
That compares to 38 per cent of those from PE Islanders and 28 per cent of New Brunswickers.
That’s not surprising according to Narrative Research CEO and Partner, Margaret Brigley.
She says in PEI, a quick drive over the Confederation Bridge will take you off the island for a day trip, whereas in Newfoundland and Labrador, it’s a much greater journey.
