RCMP on Fogo Island are investigating the death of a dog reported to police on the weekend.
Police were notified mid-day Saturday that the remains of a dog were found near the coast along Miller’s Road in Fogo.
The animal was weighted down with a rock tied to its paw.
The dog was mid-to-large sized with blonde-coloured fur.
The remains will be transported to the office of the chief veterinary officer for examination.
