Walking doesn’t just improve your health, it has a positive impact on the local economy.
That’s according to a new study by the Built Environment and Active Populations (BEAP) Lab at Memorial University.
Asia Holloway, a Masters of Public Health student with the BEAP Lab, says the Health and Economic Benefits of Walking in St. John’s study shows that walking brings some $120-million into the local economy.
Not to mention the health benefits which also have a positive economic impact.
