A 27-year-old woman owing some $12,000 in fines will appear in court on several new charges following an alleged impaired driving incident.

RNC noticed a vehicle being driven erratically in the capital city at around 10:00 Tuesday night and conducted a traffic stop.

The driver was charged with impaired driving and breaching a weapon prohibition among other offences.

She was also dealt several new tickets under the Highway Traffic Act, and police impounded the vehicle she was driving.

The 27-year-old was taken into custody overnight for a court appearance.

The investigation continues.
