RCMP are hoping for information on the whereabouts of a wanted man, who police say is actively avoiding arrest.

45-year-old Jason Thomas Hepditch is wanted for allegedly assaulting someone with a weapon outside a residence in Southern Harbour. He’s also accused of damaging the property.

Since then, RCMP say Hepditch has spoken with police several times, informing them that he has no intention of turning himself in.

Hepditch is believed to be in the area of Southern Harbour.
